i hate when shows start to mess with time travelling unless it's the use of to show events instead of mess with them... |

I was having a conversation with a good friend about different conspiracy theories, etc regarding Lost, and this is something that came up. Well we already know that Charles Widmore is the head of a vast and successful corporation, and we can assume due to Ben's extensive network and wealth, he may very well be also. We decided that we wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Paik is going to play into the story as well, which led us to the (facetious) theory that a group of wealthy and powerful men are playing a pseudo game of Risk, with real people and places. Remember in the episode when Locke, Sawyer and Hugo are playing Risk in the barracks, and Hugo says that Australia is the key to the game, and whoever controls Australia controls the game. Well perhaps the island is the pseudo-Risk's "Australia," and this struggle between Widmore, Linus (and maybe Mr. Paik and others, who knows) is all an effort to win this game. It's a very ridiculous theory but I thought you guys may be interested to hear it. You never know, after this past season's finale, I wouldn't say anything is too far-fetched. | |
