oh whatever, sipho. shut your blog face.
oh whatever, sipho. shut your blog face. - LiveJournal.com
- so this is the last one before the weekend (11/19/09) [View | Hide]

It was raining a lot this day, so we went to this big indoors shopping area on the Tozai line. I think it was called Nakano Broadway. We had never been there before, but Miki recommended it to us and it turned to be really cool. There is this cool little shop in a Shibuya basement called Mandrake that we always go to, but the Mandrake at Broadway was woah so big, with many different parts. It was cool. Oh the way home we actually ran into Jun at Takadanobaba metro station. I'm not sure how to explain the impropability of running into one person randomly like this in the Tokyo subway system :P. You can click here for a map of all the metro lines there, and then maybe you can imagine...
Oh and in the photos, check out the machine with all the buttons. In some restaurants they have this system where you press the button for whatever meal you want to order, then pay the machine. Then you just bring a note from the machine to the people at the restaurant and they get it ready for you, everything already paid for. I like it!
By the way, my friend is coming to Paris this weekend so this might be the last update until he's left again.

- so we went to ginza (11/18/09) [View | Hide]

Ginza is this kindof chic shopping district with mostly bourgeois housewives. We always come there though, because of Hakuhinkan and the big department stores. Sunday they close the streets for cars, and open them for pedestrians, so it was a good day to go. I bought some xmas presents there, and I got to spend a while with the wifi at the apple store as well :P The hotel we were staying at didn't have any wifi, so I was always happy to use it when I could.

|
- so i finished the gathering storm (11/17/09) [View | Hide]

It was sooooooo gooooood. Oh my god. For those who don't know, it's the latest book in the Wheel of Time series. I've been obsessed with it since I started reading it almost 10 years ago, and this time it had been several years since the last book. So exciting! I can't wait for the next one :P
I've been catching up on Mad Men and One Piece episodes too ^_^
I don't have that many Japan photos today. As we stayed all night clubbing we were pretty beat the next day. I'm not used to party much :P Also it started raining that day, and that makes me keep my camera bagged more. Anyway, we went to Shibuya, which is another place we always return to many times. Always a lot of young people, really cool energy. The Shibuya crossing is what they usually show when you see a million Japanese people crossing the street at once.

|
- so today is a little bit more image heavy (11/16/09) [View | Hide]

First full day in Tokyo! We went to Omotesando and Harajuku in the morning just to stop by UT Uniqlo and Kiddy Land. We always come back several times to both :P Then later we went to Akihabara, which is where most of the gadget shops are. I had forgotten to bring a camera cable, so we figured we might as well go there first day. It's a big center for anime and video game geeks too, with many cool shops and things happening, so we spent hours and hours as always.
Later in the evening we met up with Jun, who lives in Tokyo now. We went with him and a friend of his to a couple bars in the gay district, and we ended up staying out all night. I already forgot the name of his friend, but she was really sweet. She is a manga writer, and she has her own manga that she illustrates and writes. So cool! And so nice to see Jun-kun again, I love that boy very much.

- so it begins! (sorry for the delay :p) (11/15/09) [View | Hide]

I'm back! :P It's been a little while actually, but then there was London and then I got sick. Also I had to really reorganise my harddrives to make room for all these new gigabytes of photos. Bla bla, I'm sure you don't care :P Hope you're ready for many days of Japan photos, because I have a lot like always. That place is so inspiring!
I figured I'd do it day by day again, so I'll start with the ones from the trip to go there and the first day. We went with SAS by Copenhagen. Traveling far is always boring, but it was alright. Hugo had to step out of the plane at CDG for a moment because his suitcase was vibrating lol. It was just his electric razor though, at least that's what he told us :P Our hotel was in Akasaka, not far from where we have been staying before. This time we did the cheaper weekly mansion thing, where there is no room service. The room was nice and big, but there was no lux hi tech japanese toilet, just regular boring one :( We didn't really do much the first day, as we were tired from the trip. Basically just exploring the nearby area a bit.

(these are my absolute favorites! i always eat so many while i'm there)

|
- so i went to germany! (10/19/09) [View | Hide]

Cologne was so cold! But really nice, I loved my little trip there. I have a little cold now, but totally worth it. Putting some more photos below :)
In a little more than 24 hours we will be on our way to Tokyo! I'm so excited to be in Japan again, with the people and the food and the houses and everything. And Jun is there! I think my monster camera will probably either make me a cripple or a muscle man during this trip, but I have promised myself to bring it along as much as possible so hopefully there will be many photos in the end :)
We're staying there until the 5th, but I'll actually be going to London for a few days almost straight after that. MAybe I'll be fed up with traveling by then, but if that's the time then that's the time! :) My friend who is traveling Europe wanted me to come hang with him there for a little while, so that's what I'll do.
Oh and I'm bringing my iphone, so I should be able to get on wifi to check mails n such.

(this one is not really taken by me, but i'm putting it anyway :p)

- so PRINCE WAS THERE (10/11/09) [View | Hide]

I went with Sam to the John Galliano show a couple of days ago. The concept was a little bit the same thing as last time with the lasers, only this time it was smoke filled bubbles falling down on the runway. It was cool, but no way no way as cool as last time. I always have fun though ^_^.
And we were right by the celebrities :P There was Dita Von Teese, Katy Perry, that MTV boyfriend she has and...PRINCE! My dad would have gone crazy, Prince was his big hero. I took photos of them, but they all came out shit so go look in the gossip blogs or something.
Actually a lot of my photos from the runway came out shit. I'm not happy with the lens I used for that (=zoom far away lens) so I have to come up with something if I want to do these kinds of photos in the future. We'll see...

I'll put a video from the show too:
|
- so i be travelin (10/7/09) [View | Hide]

I'm going to Germany this next week! And Japan the week after that! \o/
I am actually completely broke so I will have a shopping budget of zero, but it's my own fault for not working these last months. I'm sure I will enjoy it anyway, despite the terrible temptations. I know I will!
Because I love Japan! ^__^
Next week in Köln is just for a few days to see a friend of mine there. I've never been there before, so it should be cool. And I'm happy to see my friend.
And then two weeks in Tokyo :D
|
- so i forgot to post these (10/4/09) [View | Hide]

Oops! The shots are from August when Sam and Lolo came with me to my family's cabin in Norway. I don't really have all that many, as it was getting repetitive. I've been posting photos from there previous years as well.
Oh and there's this magazine called Try State who features a couple of my photos this month. I'm pretty sure it's only out in America though. Maybe even only New York? Haha I don't know. But there you go :)
It's fashion week here again. My friend Kim came to stay for a couple of days. He's Norwegian, but he lives in London now. It had been a while so it was cool to see him again. And I finally met Bryanboy too, at a party for Gareth Pugh. I'm not really sure how famous he is, he has this fashion blog. I'm sure the fashion gays of you know who he is at least. Anyway, he's really sweet and it was fun to hang out. Maybe we'll meet up again before the end of the week. \o/

edit: seems you can order a copy of the mag here

- so i have updated my website :) (9/28/09) [View | Hide]

WWW.MARKUSBOLLINGMO.COM WWW.MARKUSBOLLINGMO.COM WWW.MARKUSBOLLINGMO.COM WWW.MARKUSBOLLINGMO.COM
Go check it out! The splash page is mostly the same, but there are a lot more photos now and they are organised a little bit more sensibly. Let me know what you think :)
&& thank you so much to Laurent who helped me out again. He's the one who is putting all this together for me.
He is also the one who took the photo above. Ikuko wanted me to model some of the hats that her mother in Osaka made, so there I am :P
\o/
|
- so here's a little update (9/20/09) [View | Hide]

I'm sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I wanted to wait with the photos until my friend finished the other layout, but it looks like that won't happen any time soon. Also, I guess twitter is kindof swallowing a lot of the things that would have ended up in this journal. I should just post it both places regardless.
Anyway, check out these photos! It's my friend Johnny from Brazil.

|
- so it is raining (9/1/09) [View | Hide]

Today it has been 3 years since my father passed away. He got cancer, and he died just 5 months after he was diagnosed. I wrote a lot about it here in my journal at the time. Here is the entry from exactly 3 years ago: sipho.livejournal.com/220834.html
Too be honest, I am not really one to miss people much, even if I love them. But I regret that there are all these things he won't get to see because he is not here anymore. He never met Sam or any of my friends here. He never knew I would end up going to Paris.
Time flies...
edit: Thanks everybody for the nice words. I'm sorry for not writing individual replies in this one...
|
- so picnic again yesterday evening (8/28/09) [View | Hide]

Picunicu!
Everyone has been coming back from holidays, so we met up again last night at Champs de Mars. So nice! :)
And for the css layout, thank you to those who offered to help me. Sela is helping me with it now...she is amazing ^_^ I'm excited about it!

|
- so i would really appreciate (8/24/09) [View | Hide]

I've said before that it is really bugging me how the background when you view inside my entries is white. It's an awful background for viewing photos. I originally had someone that offered to help me out, but he backed out so I will ask here again ^_^
And I found a livejournal layout that is sortof what I want, but not really (click here to see it), and so I'm wondering if anyone know enough about css to help me with this? I mean...tweaking that one into how I want. I never coded anything like that before, so I would really appreciate. I can't offer money either... :/
Anyone? *crosses fingers*
|
- so it's a nice day in paris (8/23/09) [View | Hide]

Sunny with a fresh wind. So sweet! I've been hanging out with Allen, who is in Paris for the weekend.
The city is still in holiday mode (a lot of the shops and restaurants are closed most of august), but people seem to be slowly returning now. All the Japanese are returning from Japan. Will be nice to see everyone again ^_^
These photos are of Alan (not Allen :P) and were taken before I went to Norway. There is a bit of nudity in there, just so you are warned :)

|
- so time flies... (8/21/09) [View | Hide]

I'm back from Norway. It was coooold! Nice to be there again and see people again, but I prefer hot Paris ^_^
There's a problem with our internet connection since we got back though. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Until then we are borrowing wifi from a friend :P I don't know if they have this system in other countries, but here the internet boxes all have a part set aside for wifi needers in the area. Like... we use Neuf... and if we are out and about somewhere we can borrow a part of someone else's neuf wifi if we login with our password and id. Am I making sense? :P
|
- so i'm off again (8/12/09) [View | Hide]

Sorry sorry. All I post here these days is "brb" and "b"... I don't even have the excuse of being very busy. I've just been super lazy watching hours of One Piece and sleeping sleeping. Shame on me!
Anyways...dudes! You are so great! That thing I did on facebook...the fan page...already has 250 "fans". Way way more than I expected! And the thing that is really exciting to me is that I have no idea who many of these people are. That is so cool! For those of you who didn't see it yet and want to show your support, click right here.
Arigato! ^___^
I'm dragging Sam and Lolo with me to Norway tomorrow, to stay a week at the cabin there. My mother says the weather is awful though, so I hope they will be OK. And is no internet up there at all , so I won't even be checking my email. Won't miss it either! :) But now you know.
Peace out!
|
- so i did a facebook thing! (8/2/09) [View | Hide]

Just posting quickly before going to bed...
I always feel bad for rejecting people who send me requests on facebook, but I prefer to keep it to my closer friends.
But! I have now made a facebook page just for my photos ^_^
So for those of you who use that website, please click HERE to find it. Show your support! Do the "become a fan" thing! Hopefully it will contribute to getting my work out there.
|
- so i don't actually have much to show yet (8/2/09) [View | Hide]

I was looking over my photos from Amsterdam, and it just made me go "MEH". Not very good at all! Well I shouldn't say that I guess...sometimes I feel that way and when I post them people are falling over telling me how cool they are. So yeah I didn't edit anything yet, but at least I should write a little before it fades from memory.
Things I remembered (I went once for a day when i was 17) that were still true:
- Boys wear A LOT of hair product. - Dutch people love bikes. Especially the old shitty kind that noone will want to steal. - Dutch people love fast food. - They put ice cream sprinkles on their sandwiches. - They love house music way too much.
Things I noticed this time:
- It's so small! It felt even smaller than Stockholm. - The trams are SLOW. Sometimes you can almost walk beside them. They are cute though! - They have a new extreme right leader guy and this one looks really fucking creepy.
But yes, I had a good time! Mostly chilling with my friend, walking around here and there. Those of you who watch my twitter (twitter.com/siphotwit) could follow my first time ever being high. I didn't smoke, but I had a "space cake" :P
|
- so this is how we do ^_^ (7/31/09) [View | Hide]
- so i'm back back again, in paris again (7/31/09) [View | Hide]

Amsterdam was nice! I'll write a little bit more about it when I have the photos from there ready I guess.
For now I just have these from when we went to Provence. Enjoy! :)

|
- so hey you guys (7/21/09) [View | Hide]

We got back from Provence earlier tonight. It was so nice, and I have photos too, but I don't promise that I will have those up before I leave for Amsterdam on friday. My next couple of days are unusually busy... We'll see!
Major lightning storm outside right now. So cool ^_^
|
- so here's a little video (7/15/09) [View | Hide]
Somehow I managed to kill the quality on this one during all the editing. It's all so confusing to me! But whatever, it's nothing serious :)
|
- so yesterday was "bastille day" (7/15/09) [View | Hide]

It's a bit funny, because in France they just call it 14th july, and they don't have the habit saying "happy 14th" or anything like that to eachother. But it seems Americans do it? At least from what I saw on twitter...
Anyway, we just went to Miki's place, which is not far from here. Jun was there too, so then we got to say goodbye again. I feel like we're always giving him goodbye parties :P He flies back tonight so...sayonara! Again! I had such a nice time though. I love these people a lot.
The fireworks were soooo cool. It's the first time I've seen them launched from the actual Eiffel tower. Really nice!
We're taking the car to the south of France tomorrow, and we'll be there for a few days. I think I'll bring my laptop though, so I should stay somewhat connected. Lolo's parents are going away for a while so we will just hang out there at the vineyard. I'm excited! It looks like a really cool place. And I've never been to this part of France before.

|
- so busy days, but good days (7/12/09) [View | Hide]

It's summer in Paris and everyone is visiting at once. This is great for me, but it also means I won't always get to see them all. This time I missed Tao, and my friend Jimmy from Sweden. I especially feel guilty for not seeing Tao, but it seem he is moving here soon anyway so maybe I can make it up to him then.
Busy again tomorrow too... And tuesday is Bastille day. Ay ay ay... I'm not used to all this activity :P
Been hanging out with my friend Allen today, which was nice. The photos are from this amusement park they put up every summer at Tuileries, the gardens by the Louvre.
