Interests/Hobbies
I enjoy showing others the world through my eyes. Whether it be in the art I create on paper or in the mind of the readers of my poetry. I am generally a light hearted kind guy, and I love helping others. Clubbing is fun and the times I have gone have been a lot of fun. I love to run, been running since I can remember...so yes that does mean I am very fast ^_^. Let me see...I enjoy having deep conversations about anything. I like listening to music, hanging with friends, and the occasional party lo
Music I Like:
I am that person who's love of music has no boundaries and because of this his iTunes is eating away at his laptop haha.
Films I Like:
I don't watch a lot of TV or films. I like a couple, Resident Evil, Hero. That's all I can think of at the moment. I'll add to this list later on.
Literature I Like:
As a writer, I love to read. Books are a gateway to another world, and as long as it takes me from here it's good enough for me.

Think you can catch me? Guess again...

So I just got a cam for the first time ever and I feel so hip talking to people face to face in other states and what not. I haven't c2c yet so please don't ask. Also please don't just go and unlock you're private pics for me without saying anything. I'm flattered that some of you guys will do that but a dick is a dick and the same applies to an ass. So about 90% of the time I'm not all that interested. AND to let everyone know I am Bi. Yes that means I like the girls as much as the guys. Both have their pluses and minuses. So please, please don't IM me and ask me if I'm gay or bi, it's right here and all over my profile guys.
The name's Ryan 'cept pretty much everyone I know, including some of my immediate family, calls me Dash. In case you didn't notice I love to run, not just go and practice or run cause it's a nice day...I love the rush I get from competition. Guess that makes me an adrenaline junky but I don't care, cause it hurts so good haha.
I am very creative. I love to write poetry, for it is an art where your mind is the canvas on which the colors of my words paint a masterpiece. Yes that is an original quote so if your going to use it make sure you cite it!! I am currently getting my degree as a Spanish English double major. I want to see the world and I figured working as a translator would be the best way to do that. So starting next semester I'm adding Chinese into the mix. Hopefully when I finish school in a couple years I'll have 3 major languages under my belt and a trip to Granada, Spain all planned out!!
Ok now for the spiritual stuff...I am 1/4 Native American, and I love that side of me. My belief system is way to complex and amazing to explain here so if u really want to know more...message or IM me. My parents are in the medical field so I learned how to give massages *from professional massage therapists* and it is amazing according to the people I have given them to. So because of my experience I have decided to get my massage license. Maybe some of you might be one of my patients if I choose to work in Chicago.
I have had to take quite a different journey throughout my college career then most people. I started out at ISU and I had a difficult freshman year and so I was forced to leave. I then took some classes at Elgin Community College to try to salvage what was left of my academic career. Things are all good now, grades are up, and life is good. Transferred to Harper Junior College in the fall of 2007 to begin a new life. Spent one year there and I am back at ISU.
Track stuff...I've been running track for about 10 years now. At Harper I tried running XC again for the first time in 3 years and it was ok, but I lost a lot of weight and it totally trashed my leg speed. So I quit * yes a jock decided to quit Oh the Horror * and started to get myself back into shape for sprints and the transformation has really left me kind of breathless * haha I'm not talking about how my body looks *. Thank you Get Fast Acceleration for what I have managed to get back into haha. Sadly, my indoor season was much more eventful then my outdoor season. My inexperienced coach pushed me too hard and I ended up tearing my hamstring 3 weeks before the outdoor national meet.
I made it back to ISU for the 2008-2009 and I love it, except that the Track coach there told I that I wouldn't amount to anything. I refuse to believe this and so once again I am a solo athlete. I have decided to use the anger, frustration, and disappointment to fuel my desire to make reach my mind and body's greatest ability. Taking the Phoenix as my symbol, I will rise from the ashes of all my falls a more amazing creature then I was previous...watch out world...*on a side note, 3.5-4 months post surgery I raced at ISU's first meet and beat 2/3rds of the schools team and I was about 1/4 of my full capacity* Right now I'm just taking the season slowly, running what races I want, working out, and focusing on school.
In June of 2008 I underwent extensive re-constructive jaw surgery. No it wasn't because I got into a fight, if I had there would have been no way that some sucker would have managed to break my jaw. I had an under bite fixed. It was causing horrible jaw pain and I was having some hearing loss. So that's all done and the braces came off in February of 2009. I'm working on posting some newer pics of me without the braces and the new jaw, but things are going a bit slow because of school and track, ironic isn't it?
I try to be myself no matter what, so if you have an issue with who I am, your loss. I don't like drama, and to be honest I can't understand how men can be such girls sometimes. Doesn't mean that I don't like a sensitive guy, just don't come to me crying if you broke up with your 5th boyfriend in the past month. So knowing this am I total jock, no. I don't watch football, or baseball. I find them boring* yes this is a challenge to any of you *. I think this has to do with being a sprinter and having a short attention span...but at least I find amusement in pretty much everything. Anyway I see baseball players as big, bulky, and well...slow. Football players, unless you can prove me wrong, I think you guys take way to many blows to the head. I will, however, watch the occasional college game with any sport on TV and I will always watch the track and field meets on ESPN. That sport is so underrated in my opinion, it has some of the greatest athletes the world will ever see in one sport.
Since people have been asking me what I like I figured I would put it up for the people that do choose to read what I have chosen to write. I am attracted to the stereotypical guy:
- Masculine
- Strong in mind and body
Now these are generally what draw me to guys, *I make exceptions believe me*:
- Good bodies *who isn't drawn to that? *
- Great smiles
- A lot of self-confidence
- Fast * mentally and physically...got to be able to keep up no? *
- Height doesn't really bother me unless it's mine
- Open Minded
- Goal oriented
- Have the guts to be able to talk to me * immediate brownie points *
I am not just a picture on a website to look at. Look at my eyes and read what I have taken the time to write and you will see a piece of a person who is more then just some dude sitting at home watching the world go by. I am apart of this world and I plan to make a difference in it! So you have the guts, send me a message...I don't bite...too hard.
And hey if you guys are looking for just a friend, please feel free to add me, I accept everyone. I'm a caring person, and if you e-mail me just to talk, I will always respond to you...sorry in advance if it takes me a lil while though.
Catch you all later!!
